Essay

I believe I embody the National Honor Society member qualities of strong character, leadership, and the spirit of service. From a young age I have always been taught to serve. Playing music and working with the youth in my church and in my community has taught me how to view situations through different perspectives. These actions involved using organization skills, motivation, and self-discipline.

Athletics have also been a big part of shaping my life and have given me a platform to influence others in a positive way. Modeling good moral character and hard work ethics through any situation can inspire others to do the same. Witnessing so many needs in our community has shown me many opportunities to make a difference in the lives of other people. My hope is to invest in the lives of others by sharing what has been invested in me; By leading others to share their gifts, skills, and resources we can work together to make the world a better place.

Simply the qualities used to describe a National Honor Society Member are formed around the word leadership. To be a leader someone has to have strong character and the spirit of wanting to work for not themselves, but for other people. Therefore I believe I am able to lead by my actions and by teachings never giving up on the situation I will face and showing strong character no matter how vigorous something may become.
